Citrix Access Essentials enables small organizations to securely access order entry, billing, scheduling, CRM, accounting and other Windows-based line-of-business applications over the Internet with just a Web browser. The cost-effective software makes centrally maintained information easy to update and retrieve from home, while travelling, or from Internet cafes, as if at the main office.
Citrix Access Essentials software inexpensively addresses your remote requirements, by layering simple wizard-driven administration and secure role-based web access on top of the Microsoft Terminal Services foundation.
This product comes without Terminal Services Client Access Licenses (TS CALs).
CSR Generation:
- Open the Access Essentials “Quick Start Tool.”
- From the Setup tab, select “External Access,” then “Manage External Access,” then click Next in the wizard.
- Select the option to “Direct to this server” to access from the internet through a firewall, then click Next.
- In the “Public address” field, enter the publicly accessible domain name of your server (the domain name or address through which can access the server externally, example, server.domain.com), then click Next.
Note: The Cisco Access Essentials will not let you generate a Wildcard Certificate request (*.yourdomain. com). - Enter your organization’s legally registered name.
- Enter, if required, an entry for the organizational unit field to be included in the certificate, th0en click Next.The organizational unit means the name of your department within the organization (frequently, this entry will be listed as “IT,” “Web Security”)
- Enter the appropriate geographical information of your organization and click Next.
- Click the option to “Manually submit the certificate request to a Certificate Authority” and then Next.
- You will then be prompted to save the CSR and then click Finish.Remember the filename that you choose and the location to which you save it. You will need to open this file as a text file and copy the entire body (including the Begin and End Certificate Request tags) into the online order process when prompted.
- After you receive your SSL Certificate from CA, you can install it.
