The Alpha Anywhere Application Server handles HTTP and HTTPS requests from a client browser or server. The Application Server is responsible for handling Ajax Callbacks and translating Xbasic in .a5w pages and components (such as Grid, UX, Tabbed UI, etc.) into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to be executed in the client’s browser. The Application Server also services other types of content – XML, JSON, multimedia, etc. – that is stored in the server’s file system and interacts with databases and other web services required by an application.
This guide will take you through Alpha Cloud CSR Generation:
- Login to the alpha cloud.
- Click on the upload TLS certificate dialog box.
You can create a CSR by clicking on the “Create Certificate Request” button on the Upload TLS Certificate dialog. This dialog will also create a private key to upload to Alpha Cloud with the certificate you purchase. This process is discussed in the next section.
Note: By default, the private key and CSR are stored with your web project in an Alpha Cloud folder. This makes it easier to find and upload the private key when you download your certificate.
Copy the CSR from the folder and forward the same to your CA for certificate generation.
For the SSL installation in the alpha cloud, kindly refer to SSL installation on the alpha cloud.
If you are unable to use these instructions for your server, Acmetek recommends that you contact either the vendor of your software or the organization that supports it.
