SSL Partner Center: Warning – The seal preference for this domain has been set by another order..

In the SSL Partner Center client may get the following Warning message:

The seal preference for this domain has been set by another order already on file
and your request will be ignored. The seal preference for this domain is
“INACTIVE”.

Causes:
This warning message is caused by the following reasons.
  • The Norton Secured Seal is a feature with applicable certificate products. The seal preferences for this for the certificate the client is enrolling the  is controlled by a Symantec Direct Account.

Resolutions:
This is a warning message within the SSL Partner Center. Any warning message depicted with
a yellow exclamation mark in yellow within the SSL Partner Center is informational to create
awareness.

  • To resolve this problem, the client can ignore the message and click Continue. Once the new order has been placed/issued the client will be able to control the seal preferences from their new superseding order’s User Portal.
