Symantec Intermediate CA’s – Code Signing RSA SHA-2

Symantec

Symantec SSL/TLS certificates require the installation of an Intermediate CA certificate to be fully trusted in all operating systems.

Typically you should not need to import the Symantec intermediate since it typically gets automatically installed when you pick up your code signing certificate in the same browser used for enrollment.

To download your Intermediate CA certificate perform the following:

  1. Scroll down to your Symantec certificate product type.
  2. Copy (Crtl + c) the contents in the box including the begin to end headings.
    —–BEGIN CERTIFICATE—–
    AND
    —–END CERTIFICATE—–
  3. Paste (Ctrl + v) the copied contents into a plain text editor such as Notepad or Vi.
  4. Save the file with a .txt, .cer, .crt or .pem extension depending on your server type.
